is called MEDIX, i went to the school, did a 12 minute aptitude test of 50 question (barely passed), the facility is neat consisted of dental lab, computer lab.
but should price of this high reasonable in vocational medical school
$14,000!! SERIOUSLY!
I'm in school for Dental Assisting at a Tech school and the full price is a little bit over $2,000. Sorry, wouldn't pay that much. You could probably even attend a community college for Dental Hgy. and get it for cheaper.

It would be normal for a school that is for profit, but I would be leary of that. You could get a better education at a lower price at a technical college.

You do not need a school degree to become a dental assistant. Training under the direct supervision of a dentist is better.
Apply for a job at the dental offices in your area. You will most likely be hired as a sterilization monitor/ hygiene assistant and when you know a little, the dentist will let you assist in the operatories. If you get your x-ray certificate you will always be employable in any dental office.
That is the best way to learn dentistry, hands on, dealing in real offices with real patients.
PS. When you are ready you can challenge the state boards to become an RDA (registered dental assistant). It takes about 6 months to learn what you need to know to do that and you will be getting paid to learn instead of paying to learn.
After you pass the RDA, go for the EF (Expanded Functions RDA), you will jump in salary to between 45 and 60k for that degree, more or less depending on where you work.
Go for it.
